RWF SPOTLIGHT: INTERVIEW WITH A DRAGON!

We recently had the great pleasure of speaking to the incredibly talented 'Dragon Heart' Danny Jones, who will be making his debut at Riptide Spring Break!
We want to personally thank Danny for his time and efforts in bringing you this interview.

RWF: As one of the big up-and-coming stars of British Wrestling many people will be familiar with your work, but how would you describe yourself and your style to someone new to the wide world of wrestling?

I’d describe my style as quite hybrid as I’m not massively devoted to one style of Wrestling - but I am pretty hard hitting.

RWF: You are of course scheduled to face off against TK Cooper, Elijah and Drew Parker in a four way match at Riptide Spring Break. Is there anything in particular that you are looking forward to about appearing in Riptide or performing in front of the Brighton crowd?

 I’ve seen a lot of good content posted by Riptide, and love the way their shows are filmed. I’ve only heard good things, so I’m just excited to get stuck in!

 RWF: What are your ambitions and goals going forward, whether it be in the near or distant future?

 My goals are nothing too unusual, I want to wrestle as much as I can all over the world and continue to make my living from wrestling.

RWF: If you could give one piece of advice - whether it be to aspiring wrestlers, people in the industry already, or even the fans – what would you say?

 The biggest thing I’ve always adhered to as a wrestler (and when I was a trainee) was to always keep me mouth shut, my ears open and listen to all opinions, feedback and take it on board.

Legendary film director Alfred Hitchcock once said "The more successful the villain, the more successful the picture" and in the realms of wrestling I can't think of a better example of this than Spike Trivet in Riptide. From the early days of the promotion Spike quickly became the most hated man in the building, mixing his questionable political beliefs with his penchant for hiring mercenaries to do his dirty work. His obsession with crushing all in his path, in particular Jack Sexsmith, has become one of the central narratives told across the Riptide catalogue so far. Well that was one hell of a weekend huh!  Riptide put on an incredible three nights of intense, action-packed, emotional, edge-of-the-seat wrestling, and we got to see the very first Brighton Champion crowned!
