RIPTIDE RUMBLE (01/06/2018) - CARD & UPDATES

Not long at all now until the Riptide Rumble - which takes place Friday 1st June!

A highly anticipated rematch between Jinny and nemesis/mentor Jimmy Havoc has been booked for this event. After their bout at Spring Break became more violent the longer it went on - Riptide have decided to make this a No Disqualification match!

The first ever title match at a Riptide show will happen at the Rumble! Current champs Team Whitewolf (Adam Chase & A-Kid) will take on the Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake) for the Attack! Pro Wrestling Tag Team straps.

Money vs Everybody (Spike Trivet, Damon Moser & Chris Ridgeway) beat people senseless in pursuit of a Brighton Championship Tournament (BCT) Qualifier. Well Trivet gets his way here as he takes on a quite frankly vicious Mike Bird to secure his passage into the tourney. Moser & Ridgeway are banned from ringside - if they break that rule, their own qualifying opportunities at Riptide: International Waters will be withdrawn.

Maverick Mayhew took a beating at the hands of the aforementioned Money vs Everybody at Spring Break - as the three of them brutalised and taunted him in the middle of the ring. In what promises to be a fairer fight at the Rumble, Maverick will team up with his buddy Connor Mills (M&M) to take on Moser & Ridgeway. Let's see what the outcome is when the situation is two on two rather than three on one.

After her appearances in Japan for Stardom, Candy Floss returns to Riptide action. Her original opponent Sammii Jayne suffered an unfortunate injury and has been replaced by another familiar face in Chakara - who will pull double duty to appear in this match and the Rumble itself.

They have often tagged together, but on this occasion they'll square-off against each other, as Jack Sexsmith takes on David Starr. What will happen in the next instalment of Sexsmith's Riptide saga - is he ready to break, or is he just ready to get serious? Speaking of serious, will Starr come with his game face on or will he
be holding something back against his friend? We will see.

The Rumble match itself will be the last and final attempt for all of these competitors to gain entry into the BCT - so its not just victory on the line, it's a shot at potential glory. There are some big hitters on the list of participants and only one can make it! Fifteen names have been announced, but the remaining fifteen will remain a mystery...

From the early days of the promotion Spike quickly became the most hated man in the building, mixing his questionable political beliefs with his penchant for hiring mercenaries to do his dirty work. His obsession with crushing all in his path, in particular Jack Sexsmith, has become one of the central narratives told across the Riptide catalogue so far. Well that was one hell of a weekend huh!  Riptide put on an incredible three nights of intense, action-packed, emotional, edge-of-the-seat wrestling, and we got to see the very first Brighton Champion crowned!
