RWF SPOTLIGHT: FADE TO GREY

If you are a regular at Riptide you will be more than familiar with the subject of this edition of the RWF Spotlight - Lord Gideon Grey. In fact you might actually prefer to see less of him, but that's just proves the point that he has infiltrated your consciousness - like it or not.

The fact of the matter is that Grey and his, let's say 'comrade', Kurtis Chapman have done such a magnificent job of interjecting themselves into the action - that loathe them as we do, a Riptide without them would almost seem incomplete. That in itself is some twisted genius, some evil ingenuity, some dastardly inspiration - and the majority of that comes from the mind of Lord Gideon Grey:

RWF: As a staple of British Wrestling scene many people will be familiar with your work, but how would you describe yourself and your style to someone new to the world of wrestling?

That entirely depends on how I feel about my opponent. If they bore me, like so many people do, I will find ways to just entertain myself. If there is even the smallest spark of interest however, you'll bear witness to the greatest display of technical wrestling you'll ever see.

RWF: What made you decide to become a wrestler, and what was the first step you took on that path?

I was bored and a friend told me about British Wrestling, so I found a good training school and devoted a portion of my time to becoming excellent.

RWF: In Riptide you and your buddy Chapman are pretty much universally despised, although you are both undeniably entertaining. Is there anything in particular that you look forward to about wrestling in Brighton or performing in front of the Riptide crowd?

First, Kurtis isn't my buddy. We live near each other, that's all. The thing I look forward to most about Brighton, and the Riptide fans is turning around and leaving them to head back to my wonderful dogs and cats.

RWF: What are your ambitions and goals going forward in wrestling, whether it be in the near or distant future?

My only aim is to be offered an inordinate sum of money to sign a contract based purely on my talent.

RWF: If you could give one piece of advice - whether it be to aspiring wrestlers, people in the industry already, or even the fans – what would you say?

You can either be a happy wrestler, or a good wrestler. Choose your path and stick to it.
